Duties:
- Applies coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings, to produce finished surface, according to blueprints, architect's drawings, or oral instructions, using hand-tools and portable power tools/.
- Directs workers to mix plaster to desired consistency and to erect scaffolds. Spreads plaster over lath or masonry base, using trowel, and smooths plaster with darby and float to attain uniform thickness.
- Applies scratch, brown, or finish coats of plaster to wood, metal, or board lath successively.
- Roughens undercoat with scraper and scratcher to provide bond for succeeding coats of plaster.
- Generates/makes finished surface according to artwork presented by interior designer.
- Before working on the surface to create a base with plaster considering complexities and components of the artwork to make sure art-work creature can permanently remain on plaster surface.
- In case of mirror designs. Makes a clean and soft surface with plaster before installation of mirror pieces.
- Cuts and forms mirror pieces, with hand-tool, based on artwork presented by interior designer.
- Draws preliminary design of the final for on plaster surface by hand and coal.
- Place mirror pieces, that were previously cut based on design, into their specific spot in its pre-drawn design on plaster surface.
- Creates decorative textures in finish coat by marking surface of coat with brush and trowel or by spattering surface with Installs precast ornamental plaster pieces and mirrors by applying mortar to back of pieces and pressing pieces into place on wall or ceiling and be designated Ornamental-Plaster Sticker.
- Applies weatherproof, decorative covering of Portland cement or gypsum plaster to outside building surfaces, using hand-tools: Erects scaffolds.
- Applies various coats of material. Decorates final or finish coat by marking coat with sand, or with brush or trowel, or by spattering with small stones.
- Nail wire mesh, lath, or similar material to outside surfaces to serve as binding device to hold stucco in place. Apply stucco, using spray gun. Install guide wires on surface of buildings to indicate thickness of stucco to be applied.
